Day10-11 Rotorua

So the last few days haven't done much here, taking it kinda easy. Its been quite rainy out so just been driving along. We went to Green Lake and Blue Lake, and all around Rotorua lake. But we will just let you look at pictures cause not much to say except these towns are getting crazier by the minute due to the Rugby Cup. We just had atleast 25 French people check into our hostel..oh its going to be an interesting night watching the game. But once its all over with we will get to see everything for more of what its worth. Till then here you go...

baby pine trees...they clear cut and replant them cause they are fast growing trees for farming

a boiling lake

really really hot

amazing

the mud pool again

Bryan loved watching them explode

lots of boils

they seriously started exploding

This was across from the mud pools

Trying to get him to leave

Looks like something out of Jurassic park..everything around the pools are dead

A geyser

Smokes all day long

Love the scenery here

we were amazed that there are thermal pools everywhere and not just in one area

driving around the mountain tops

Nice overcast

you have to pay a pretty buck to go sit in one of these thermal pools

pools all over the mountain sides

this was the cheapest we have found them...but still ouch

interesting....

our overcast sunset

all these cars belong o a set of asisan tourist and as you can see none them can park correctly, which out here makes things very difficult to do

lots of different trees

our start to our day

you just cant take him out in public..haha

Blue Lake

Green Lake

Everyone out here loves doing donuts..we find these signs everywhere...which bryan loves

They have black with bright red beak swans out here

interesting cut out of the earth to make the road

These are those farm trees and they plant them in rows which is weird to see

Love this sign of AGED PERSONS

And i found my first garage sale

Beautiful parakeet sleeping

So this picture is of the inside of a Burger King out here and apparently they are legit restaurants...everything is marble and granite counters and really clean...so odd

Bryan loves driving through all these trees

so green on a cloudy day

such weird trees on this hike..lots of moss on the trees

Fern gully

this is rainbow colored mountain/crater

at the bottom of the mountain it is a sulfur pool

only took him about 4 other shots to get a decent one with out funky faces

love this sign

odd truck we saw

Back to Auckland tomorrow to find a car and see about more jobs. Also tomorrow out here is their Labour day and they throw a huge Kiwi BBQ picnic with sheep sheering contest at the downtown war museum so we are going to stop there for the day also. So for now thats all...
