Day2 Auckland

Morning all!

so I am a day behind on posts, when we get back to the room were both so beat we just lay down and sleep haha

so day 2 started off very rainy!

Us infront of our Hostel, starting out on a new day!!

an ad on the bus haha very weird!!

this is about the 3rd panamara I've seen! these things are all over! Phil, you would have no problem finding work here.

The Officer was helping these kids cross the street and seemed to be explaining how to do it at the same time... this is something that I really like about about this country is how helpful EVERYONE is we have gotten in to so SO many random conversations with people it is really funny, it's almost as if everyone here is a tour guide, because if your lost, we just ask someone and they take there time to recommend a route and a shop on the way and probably what time the train or bus leaves next haha its very cool. Nicest people ever!

ya awesome.

I couldn't get the 3.0csl that got away from the train but I nabbed this 944!!

haha hell ya!!

Subway!! ok lets review this little delight. the bread is harder in European tradition, but were not talking Roma HARD, just firmer, buy the time your done eating your jaw has worked off the same amount of calories that you just took in lol. everything here tastes better, I'm not sure if that is the endorphins and I'm being biased but the ingredients are different too, Bell peppers are called capsicum and a bunch of different words. strollers are called prams... ya I'll try to take more note of different words... anyway food here is good!

The Building at the end of the warf just to the right as you come out of Britomart (the train station)

A little clearer pic.

so today was kind of Architecture day tomorrow will be fashion day,  so please ask questions if you want a "day" of something or have questions!!

I have no idea what car this is, Post card to the first person that gets a solid ID on it!!

I do know what this car is though!! Nissan Skyline haha

Amber is trying to show you the bottle opener not how good I look!!

that is how good I look lol!!

Evidently this buliding was used in the end of Kin Kong, NOT in New york haha...

so we used a lego ewok to reproduce the scene for you HAHA!!

Cool clock tower that is possibly town hall

A Plastic or glass feather/quil that is inside of the Aoteora center, looks to be a performing arts center.

and looking over town hall from the aoteora center at a REALLY blue building!

'04 STI for all my Subbie Lovers out there!!

More Work for Phil!!

This one is for My BMW boys! a 120D 5door !!

oh soo good lookin!!

This building has strong new york and slightly Gothic influences in it but has really large windows, lots of light, I love it!!

A mini and more work for Phil!! seems that MINI's are VERY!! popular at least in Auckland we see about 20 a day!

I don't care about the watches, even though they are really nice watches, I was taking a pic of the 3d relief Typhoon!! very cool!

More work for phil!! First GT3 I've seen, and it looked and sounded very good too!! I miss Vanessa!

This is for all my 'Merica fans out there. thinking of you Austin!

And my Top Gear fans! this is Body wash!!

an M3 for Taylor and A Delorean for Grant

so rain boots are popular as well...

ok so this must be an 'merican influence, or if you enjoy having no feeling in you legs...

What hole in the Ozone??

Ads on the escalators, pretty funny!

450mL is ya you guessed it $4.00 NZD this makes Amber sad panda!
Holy highway robbery batman!!

the ferry at queens wharf

ummm ok... current is supposed to be a berry and I have never heard of that crap before, we were definitely full "dumb Americans" on this one, the ladies behind the counter were laughing at us, and I was taking pics like a tourist! but it was really good Gelato BTW

lookin at the landscape around the "habuh" lol Amber say this goes to Denport. IDk where that is, but it's supposed to be cool.

Oh ya the RWC (rugby world cup) is being held in Auckland, so this is part of the down town fair festival center thing... its a giant rugby ball.

Mobile Pizza stand in a conex box. I really like this idea, of sustainable and efficient transport, I have also see this used in Prefab housing, cool Idea for shelter in places that have a hard time with this stuff, I think of Major Cites in South America or something like Shanty town in China.

A steel and fabric Structure, that has been constructed for the games.

More front of the same building

Clouds are VERY low here it is pretty cool to see them pass through the hills, VERY low!

The interior of a building on the wharf I love this look I have often mentioned that I would love to live in an warehouse or hanger for this sort of "character"

we literally stumbled across this! it is the Rugby World Cup.

so we took our Picture in front of it haha..

This is Huge those little heads on top of the handles are bigger than a softball, the whole thing is huge!

a shark bus!! very funny!

outside town a little about half way between our place and downtown, is a place called Onehunga "one-nun-ga" such a stark difference in Architecture between here and Auckland. I'll be taking more pics of average stuff while were on the train today. looks like colfax street a little bit. in the classic western saloon style.

LOW clouds :-)

it rained and then this Awesome Rainbow came out...

Rainbow umbrella with a rainbow. the place were staying at has umbrellas you can borrow, so we didn't buy this umbrella, but I did accidentally break it.

More Low clouds...

Our First true Sunset, it was cold and still sorta rainy so we didn't wait around for sweet pics of the colors.

A map in our hostel featuring places where people are from, I put us "on the map"

Hope you Enjoy looking at the Pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them!!

Please ask us if you want any pictures or have any questions!!

Till Tomorrow!
